A must try! This recipe, I have shared in coaching sessions, nutrition seminars, at social events and especially in my house (except they do not last long).
The world needs to experience this delectable, simple and whole food based treat; instead of store-bought preservative filled cookies 🙂
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 1 1/4 cup dates
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt (or Kosher salt)
- 1-2 tsp cocoa powder
- 2-3 tsp organic coconut oil (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- chocolate chips
Chop almonds in food processor. Add all other ingredients (besides chocolate chips) and blend together in food processor. Press into a baking dish. Sprinkle the desired amount of chocolate chips on top and press down into bars. Let this deliciousness set in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Cut into bars and enjoy!!
**WARNING : Share with friends and family if you have no self-control. These are so good that you will want to eat the entire batch! And even though they are healthy – “everything in moderation.”
