School Year, New Year!

As I have to finally face that summer is over  (I wasn’t ready for it to end) and we are back on our school/work schedule; I already miss lazy summer mornings and daily adventures with the kids and their friends. BUT, I am ready to jump into this year with excitement & new goals and adapt to our “new” schedule.

I say this every year, but I am not quite sure how time passes so quickly and we now have a 5th grader and 7th grader.

The day went by quickly, but I really did miss these two today and even found a few extra minutes to make them some after school snacks 🙂  Chocolate oatmeal cookies with peanut butter drizzle!

Like I said, I am excited for what this year will bring…for my kids, new learning opportunities, sports, friendships, etc. And for me! I definitely thrive and am much more productive when I am busy and on a schedule, as do the kids. I am headed into this school year with an open heart, open eyes and open mind to see what God has planned for me; seeking new endeavors that will challenge me mentally, physically and spiritually, as well as in my career.
