#SoulSunday As I Woke…

by in Blog Posts, Inspiration, & Motivation August 21, 2016

As I woke this morning – thankful for an amazing God, a date night with my hubby, my healthy children, a good night of sleep and opportunity in the day ahead – I went for a walk before heading out the door to work.

The air was crisp this morning. A welcome change from the past few weeks of oppressive heat and humidity. Thinking back to sunrise of just two weeks ago, I walked in my neighborhood as the moonshine gave way to the beaming rays of a pink and orange sunrise; listening to the previous Sunday’s sermon from our church in my iphone.

Solitude, study and service.

How can we be better at these things this fall? This was exactly what I needed to be listening to in that moment this morning. This message is so relatable to our lives.

As I spent time journaling (solitude & study) I read this.

“Wait for Me for a while. I have much to tell you. You are walking the path I have chosen for you. It is both a privileged and perilous way…” ~Jesus

Thankful for the message. From Him and from my daughter on my phone that I found yesterday.IMG_0014

These are all such simple messages, yet so profound and meaningful. Pay attention to life, as it has no coincidences. Keep an open mind, eyes, ears and heart…I hear this reminder daily as God speaks to me.

When I got to work this morning, I received this message in my inbox…
” Be happy for no reason, like a child. If you are happy for a reason, you are in trouble, because that reason can be taken away from you.”

I hope that you “see, hear and feel” these simple and profound messages throughout your day. <3
